Mindtrip is an AI travel assistant that turns a chat conversation into a complete, personalized trip plan. It is built for travelers who want destination ideas, itineraries, and bookings (hotels, flights, restaurants, and activities) handled in one place instead of across a dozen tabs. Tell it how you like to travel, and it returns recommendations you can favorite, organize, and book.
Mindtrip combines planning and booking in a single conversation, rather than generating a text itinerary you then act on elsewhere. Each suggestion links to a real listing with photos, reviews, and maps, so you can reserve hotels, flights, restaurants, and activities without leaving the plan. Its Start Anywhere feature also turns content you already have, such as a screenshot, a PDF, or a TikTok or YouTube link, into an itinerary.
You start by chatting about a destination or asking for an entire itinerary, then refine the results by favoriting places and adding them to a trip. You can upload booking confirmations and receipts (or forward them by email) and import pins you saved in Google Maps as ready-to-use collections.
For group travel, you can invite friends and family, plan in real time with comments and likes, and tag @Mindtrip in the chat for suggestions that fit everyone. Newer additions include an Events feature for nearby concerts and markets, plus Collections for organizing favorite places by theme.
Mindtrip is one of the better-known AI trip planners, and reviewers praise how it links every recommendation to a bookable listing with photos and reviews instead of returning plain text. In December 2025 the company announced new investments from Capital One Ventures and United Airlines Ventures, joining existing backer Amex Ventures. Common criticisms of conversational planners are that AI suggestions can miss local nuance and that prices still need a final check before booking.
Mindtrip charges no monthly subscription for planning, so the entire chat and itinerary experience is free, and costs apply only when you book travel. A Creator Program also pays for referrals and bookings if you publish and share your itineraries.
